For the past nine months I’ve been fortunate enough to be working on creating a course called “Intermediate Julia” for the online learning platform DataCamp. I’ve always believed in continual self learning, and have used DataCamp a lot myself to learn new things, so when I had the opportunity to teach this course I jumped at it.

The course follows on from an existing “Introduction to Julia” course already on DataCamp, so the content in my course builds on that. Some of the content covered in my Intermediate course includes:

  • Loops, ranges, splat unpacking
  • Data structures
  • Execution time measurement, functions
  • DataFrames in Julia, Python/R in Julia
